After reading the article, I have no idea why this new mouse would require a subscription, other than the company is greedy. Also I have no idea what would be different about the mouse.
In fact, there's almost no information other than "Logitech would like customers to pay them monthly".
- duxup 2y agoLogitech might just be one of those places where word comes down from on high. "CEO says we should have <poppycock>." "But there's no place in our product for <poppycock>, and our customers hate <poppycock>." -pause- "CEO says we should have <poppycock>."

- potamic 2y agoYou can start with asking what problems customers are facing and offer to solve those problems in exchange for money. Or you can start asking how much money to make and find ways to convince customers to give you that money. Only they have asked the question, but haven't figured out how to convince customers to give the money.
- sillywalk 2y agoI'm pretty sure that's it. There is no reason. Of course, Logitech just launched a mouse[0] with a Chat-GPT button, but it requires the "Logi Options+ App" to use. It's like the 90s internet hype, no realistic business model, just +AI instead of +internet.
