These are areas with established internet access, why would we ever fund such a scheme? Starlink et al are compelling alternatives, but they are in no way a suitable substitute for gigabit fiber. I wish people could stop trying to play space ranger and just help the poor compete. They are members of our society, they deserve not to be stuck as beta testers for inferior service.
