I love stuff like this. Bookmarked. I ran into a situation where this might be useful last weekend when my daughter broke the wheels off of a battery powered bubble maker. Stripped out all the electronics and mechanical parts (but threw away the control chip and the wildly annoying music player) and wired up a replacement battery pack.
