I think he’s trying to save X and Tesla. EVs are political because of subsidies and X is a worthless cesspool.
Politicians got way ahead of themselves by setting deadlines, like 2035, to phase out ICE vehicles, before EVs became sufficiently popular.
- smt88 2y agoIn what universe is Trump better for Tesla than Harris? Also, his views about trans people, minorities, and right-wing conspiracies are perfectly in line with Trump. They are at odds with advertisers, so this is clearly a stupid personal decision and not a rational business decision. We need to finally give up on the myth that Musk is intelligent or rational. He is an idiot, a heavy user of drugs, and a drag on his companies.
- melling 2y agoI didn’t say Trump was better for him. I just explained that many Republicans won’t currently buy electric vehicles. It should not be difficult to figure out the rest.
