  Removal of the headphone jack was the great lie from Apple and then other Android manufacturers. Sony phones were among the first premium phones to be water proof and they always kept the headphone jack.

  It’s fine for you to have that preference but you’re a part of a very tiny irrelevant minority. The rest of us don’t care, so manufacturers won’t design phones with the audio jack in mind. There are cheap dongles available tho.

Paying $99 for a pair of disposable wireless headphones is just about the least-common purchasing decision you could suggest. The tiny irrelevant minority are the cost-insensitive American and European markets that will buy literally anything branded with their favorite companys logo.
