Cloudflare DNS + Malware Blocking
- efilife 2y agoWould you trust cloudflare to direct your traffic through their dns? I certainly don't. They have enough monopoly on the internet
- danielhanchen 2y agoYe that's actually not a bad point - there's like Google's DNS 8.8.8.4 and also 9.9.9.9 which I was researching - another option I guess is to let your ISP do the DNS, but unsure on that as well - what do you think would be best (still deciding which to use!)
- LargoLasskhyfv 2y agohttps://mullvad.net/en/help/dns-over-https-and-dns-over-tls https://mullvad.net/en/help/dns-over-https-and-dns-over-tls It's free to use for anyone. Doesn't need any client(software), just config like described in link above. It's fucking fast(for me). You don't need to use the ad/malwarblocking lists, though you can with some rather coarse granularity. What exactly is blocked by which options can be determined from there: https://github.com/mullvad/dns-blocklists https://github.com/mullvad/dns-blocklists Besides that it seems uncensored. Meaning you can browse sites which are censored by DNS-blocking in the EU.
