    I think the regulatory capture angle is also likely (you know both). I just hope he is not using ChatGPT for strategy advice.

  Altman wants regulatory capture and nothing else. I wonder if he realizes that this can backfire horribly on OpenAI and the progress of AI, if the regulators go even a little bit further than he wants them to (eg with copyright.) Be careful what you ask for, Altman.
