- paulpauper 2y agoManufactures can fight back by raising prices, like with shrinkflation. Or selling mark-ups on food targeted to these GLP-1 users to negate deficiencies . Also, many people discontinue the drugs after a few years, either due to cost, side effects, or failing to lose enough weight to justify continued use.
- sk11001 2y agoThe "failing to lose" group should be very small, these drugs are very effective. The main reason to discontinue will be people who have reached their goal weight, many of whom unfortunately will gain it back after stopping the medication.
