- maximinus_thrax 2y agoYour bio shows you have skin in the game, so I wouldn't be surprised to see you try propping up the hype. But we're talking about different things here. I'm referring to the business value of a company investing in AI features and their return on investment. The end-user is a different story, but anecdotally, I also pay for a few subscriptions to AI services and so far I'm not seeing significant productivity gains after the novelty wore off. For me it's at the point of being just a better search that I need to cross-reference to make sure it didn't go off the rails. I will stop paying soon.

Did you get a massive raise? Did you create a new product that made you tons of money? Since you say it is possible to quantify please tell us! Edit: Ah, you are selling AI products, that doesn't count. That is saying a shovel is great value since you can sell it.
- thomashop 2y agoYou're making assumptions. I'm not working with the shovel I use to increase my productivity. Why would someone selling fridges be motivated to exaggerate the value of stoves? I'm not selling anything as Pollinations.AI is open source and makes no profit. Just because I'm working with open-source AI means I cannot have an opinion on how other AI tools have improved my productivity?
