Calculus for Beginners and Artists
- srameshc 2y agoThanks for sharing, I always think I want to study Calculus & many more math concepts but I just forget the next moment. But this is what I love HN about, sometime I just find links like this which helps me get started.
- ivansavz 2y agoIt would be nice if you have a contiguous time to sit and learn CALC, but it's not required. You can think of it as a Mario World level with several stages, that you can complete one at a time. The bottom half of the page in this concept maps shows the world map for CALC world: https://minireference.com/static/conceptmaps/math_and_physics_concepts.pdf#page=2 https://minireference.com/static/conceptmaps/math_and_physic...
- cfiggers 2y agoThis is interesting. I'm already finding the writing style approachable and easy to follow. Does anyone know of a good way to report typos or grammar mistakes?

- hedvhgo 2y ago> Derivatives kill constant terms I feel this language is more harmful than helpful when teaching beginners. When utilizing a derivative to analyze a function the constant terms are treated the same as any other term, it’s just that the rate of change of a constant is 0, because, well, it’s constant, so goes unchanged. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Differentiation_rules https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Differentiation_rules (See: Elementary rules of differentiation -> Constant term rule for this formulation)
