I see what you're saying but I didn't really read the wolf stuff in terms of alphas and hierarchies so much. It seemed to stress social cohesion much more to me than status/dominance stuff. Like: > We will claim new territory only as our pack grows, all the while ensuring that the territory we currently hold is kept secure. Is this not just about maintenance burden vs. contributor base?
