I've never had that when using Gentoo but I started in 2016 or so. The IRC was helpful in getting me started and I learned a lot in menuconfig.

- ants_everywhere 2y agoI've revisited Gentoo since then and it's gotten much better. I think they eventually got back on their feet. I believe ChromeOS was based on Gentoo initially. So by that time the community was nice enough for a big tech company to make a financial bet on it.
