- lenerdenator 2y agoNiceties don't mean anything for any airline if the plane doesn't go where it's supposed to go at the time that the ticket said it would. I have family members currently in California on estate business who drove from KCMO to OC because they were delayed six hours on Delta on their last trip home from there. The generators on the plane (an Airbus) were having problems, so that was a delay. Then at the stopover in SLC, there were problems with the air conditioning on the plane (another Airbus) so that was another delay. They got home at 2:15 AM. Another family member was stranded in Arizona last year, and a friend has never had a flight go as scheduled between here and NYC in the two years she's lived here. I keep telling them that they should take solace in the fact that collecting money and not using it to provide the basic premise of the business model has greatly benefited shareholders.
