Neat - but I didn't expect it to tweet my entry. I really wish you had mentioned that. Out of nowhere it looks like I'm spamming my friends with some domain I own.
- drivingmenuts 14y agoThanks for that warning. Kept me from making that mistake.
- andreasklinger 14y agoI'd like to double that. Also even if you uncheck the tweet checkbox it posts to your twitter stream.
- ges 14y agoWe've run quite a few tests on different browsers to ensure it doesn't happen. Can I ask you which browser you are using?
- ges 14y agoThanks for the feedback! We try to make the Twitter integration as smooth and natural as possible by placing checkboxes within the text inputs, on the right handside. You can choose whether or not to share your posts on Twitter by clicking them (it then gets saved for all your following posts across the platform). Absolutely no wish to make a spammy app!
- e1ven 14y agoAppreciate it. I'll avoid the site. This is one reason I seldom log in with Twitter/Facebook. I just don't trust apps, and this is a good reason not to. Even if they authors try to make it "Not Spammy" I don't trust their implementation, and the incentives are in the wrong place. Thanks but no Thanks.
- shapiro 14y agoWe really did try to make it not-spammy. You have an option to tweet when you list a domain name that you own. Or you can comment on other people's domains using twitter. Also we're expecting most of our traffic to come from twitter, so they will know exactly what's getting tweeted.
- shapiro 14y agoWe do have a line which shows what you're going to tweet and let's you uncheck the box so you don't post to twitter. Perhaps this should be off by default, but we are erring on the side of making the app viral first.
