Private Equity Puts Debt Everywhere

- chiefalchemist 2y ago> How private equity tangled banks in a web of debt,” Sounds a bit unfair in the sense: - The banking system is based on debt - If banks don't understand the nature of the investment (i.e., loan) then that shouldn't be investing. Ultimately, it's a game of musical chairs meets a house of cards. Once the music (i.e., blind trust) stops shoes begin to fall. Put another way, the system is closer to a Ponzi scheme than a financial + economic system. We shouldn't feel sorry for PE, banks, etc. The concern should be for ourselves. It's the masses who will suffer the most (a la circa 2007 / 2008).
