Musk Asks X Followers If Tesla Should Sink $5B into XAI
- LorenDB 2y agoActually not a terribly stupid idea. I get that the Musk hate brigade will probably find something to call foul on, but Elon's attention has definitely been more on xAI recently, so a big investment like this could help Tesla solidify its position.
- dotcoma 2y agoJust curious: what do you see AI capable of doing for a car company? Thanks.
- _giorgio_ 2y agoFSD? :-D Improve robots, and humanoid robots that are used in the assembly line? What was the question?
- FireBeyond 2y ago> I get that the Musk hate brigade will probably find something to call foul on How about "Musk asking his followers, not Tesla shareholders"? I guess that makes me one of the brigade.
- chipdart 2y ago> How about "Musk asking his followers, not Tesla shareholders"? I guess that makes me one of the brigade. It's telling that he's directing that question to his fanboy choir and not to the actual shareholders, who are the ones who actually have their money invested.
- _giorgio_ 2y agoHe's asking followers, then shareholders, and finally the board.
- chipdart 2y ago> (...) but Elon's attention has definitely been more on xAI recently (...) I'm curious, why do you think this is relevant for the interests of all shareholders of a car company? Hasn't Tesla been for years failing to deliver on all their other fantastic promises, such as the infamous full self driving that was perpetually 1 year away?
- 3cats-in-a-coat 2y agoSo Musk can keep diverting his attention to new startups and Tesla should keep throwing billions at them. Great plan, bro.
