- AlbertCory 2y ago"The Gundo" -- I was at Xerox El Segundo and never heard it called that. But of course that was a while ago and things change ... It was always an aerospace hub, but near the beach there were houses. And the oil refinery. And the planes taking off from LAX. The nicknames then were either Smell Segundo or El Smogundo.
