legit question. would anyone rather pay monthy for chrome. pay per 100 google searches. youtube premium be the only option. and pay for the google suites. for 0 tracking and ads what so ever? or is this model.
- move-on-by 2y agoI pay for search- Kagi- but I would not pay for what you described. Not because it does not sound valuable, but because it would require trust that they are doing what I’m paying them for. Alphabet is morally bankrupt and not to be trusted.
- synicalx 2y agoPersonally I pay for search via Kagi, but the other two I don't really care about since I don't use either. I also pay for email, private DNS, storage and a few other "core" services that I use every day that you might reasonably consider using Google for otherwise. Personally it's worth it to me for various reasons, but I realise I'm in a fairly privileged position being about to cough up ~$50 AUD a month for these rather than using the "data funded" free alternatives.
