Great project. I am mostly impressed that Glisp provides a great experience of reversely modifying code by dragging the ui.
Personally, I really agree with the philosophy of code for design. I often feel that code is more useful than gui in many cases. I developed Glicol (https://glicol.org https://glicol.org) for live composition and sound design so that I don't need to open DAW for music improvisation. In addition, I have always thought that there should be a better way to make slides. I have tried revealjs and now use remark, but I hope there will be a simpler way to achieve programmatic specification like keynote magic move.
Btw, I am also very curious about the philosophical comparison between Glisp and the LOGO language https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logo_(programming_language) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logo_(programming_language)
- convolvatron 2y agothis looks alot more like an SVG in s-expressions
- montyanderson 2y agowow, <3 your livecoding language!
- chaosprint 2y agoforget to mention, the new logo of glicol is also designed with js code: https://github.com/glicol/glicol-logo/blob/main/index.html https://github.com/glicol/glicol-logo/blob/main/index.html perhaps it can be even cleaner with lisp
- williamcotton 2y agoI think there is room for textual code and visual code to co-exist. I've also been working on a project recently that works as a bidirectional binding between textual shell pipelines and GUI representations of those commands, allowing for text and settings from either the text or the GUI to update one another. It also features output after each command to aid in debugging and with various formats depending on the output type, eg JSON vs CSV. I'd love any and all feedback! https://github.com/williamcotton/guish https://github.com/williamcotton/guish
