The presence of one's own smartphone reduces available cognitive capacity (2017)
- rhelz 2y agoThis reminds me of the study they did when they had an old man cross the paths of some test subjects, and then observed that the mere presence of the old man caused the test subjects to perform worse on their tests. Of course, later it was proven to be all bullshit. Completely made up. It's a damn shame, but after the reproducibility crisis, I just can't take these studies at face value anymore.

- quantified 2y agoFrom 2017. It would be nice to have a follow-up.
