That kind of humor emerged from usenet and early SA*. 4chan only exists at all because moot was permabanned from SA.
- plorkyeran 2y agomoot is not and has never been permabanned from SA. He hasn't posted since 2008 but his singular non-perma ban was for posting anime spoilers in 2004: https://forums.somethingawful.com/banlist.php?userid=32422 https://forums.somethingawful.com/banlist.php?userid=32422. A bunch of the raspberry heaven crew got perma'd and were a core part of 4chan's early userbase, but that happened after 4chan was created.
- johnnyanmac 2y agoI was curious enough to check what sword Moot fell on to get banned, but then I realize I never got the platinum pass (another ten bux). I "only" paid for archives access given how "late" I joined.
