- reify 2y agoIt could well be if corporate lobbying was banned and power was given back to the people. Democracy is just a word bandied about to convince "the people" that their vote is worthwhile and they are somehow having an impact on who gets into power. Its money that chooses who gets into power and the rich pay for this. True democracy has never been put into practice. Same in the US as in the UK. Undemocratic two party bullshit. I have never voted because none of the political parties represent me or my views of living in a fair and equal society. Living in a fair and equal society. Now thats a thing!
