What would happen exactly if all this national debt was just written off/cancelled? They are just numbers in a spreadsheet.
- OutOfHere 2y agoIndeed. There would be significant inflation. Also, the use of the dollar as a global reserve currency would be over. An alternative that would avoid both of these two issues is to legally seize 95% of the wealth of the the richest 1% of the people in the country, and use it to pay off the entire debt. After all, odds are high that they have built their wealth using significant exploitation of the environment.
