A lot of awesome predictions that ended up being true: software trials, app store (he calls it the radio station for software), computers getting smaller and smaller, internet, 13/14 year olds creating businesses with apps, computers getting cheaper to under $1000.

- warkdarrior 2y agoiPads are under $1000, and the Macbook Air starts at $1000. Mac Mini is $500.
- dhc02 2y agoMacBook Air starts at $650.
- klysm 2y agoInflation might need to be factored in
- soperj 2y agoconfused as to why I'm getting massively downvoted for asking a question. I didn't see any when I went to the apple website (maybe it's because i got forwarded to the canadian version)
- moolcool 2y agoThe Mac Mini is well under $1000
- wmorein 2y agoWalmart Macbook at $649.
- delusional 2y agoHe didn't as much predict it as made it. He obviously didn't do it alone, but he did spend a lot of his life making those predictions (really promises) come true.
- ds_opseeker 2y ago"computers getting cheaper to under $1000." maybe not that one :)
- nkotov 2y agoMac mini but previously the iMac G3 was $999.
- y04nn 2y agoAdjusted for inflation, $1000 of 1983 is more than $3000 today.
- jethro_tell 2y agoWhat is that adjusted for average wage?
- dpkirchner 2y agoLooks like average wages are up over 4x: https://www.ssa.gov/oact/cola/AWI.html https://www.ssa.gov/oact/cola/AWI.html
- ArnoVW 2y agoMaybe not the computers we would buy or like, but you can buy plenty of computers for a couple of hundred dollars. Hell, you can buy a mobile phone (a computer that fits in your pocket!) for less than that. And don’t get met started about raspberry Pi and the likes. We are genuinely living in the future. We just don’t realize it all the the time.
