Trump allies want to "Make America First in AI" with sweeping executive order
- al_borland 2y agoI wonder if this will change Elon’s endorsement. He has long seemed pro-AI regulation. He said he went to Washington to try and fight for it and no one listened.
- TheAlchemist 2y agoI'm sorry, but it's 2024 and you still believe what Elon says ? The PR stunt with pro-AI regulation was just to look good and allow him some time to setup his XAi company, nothing more. As for endorsement, Trump / Vance are pretty much as anti-EV as it gets. Doesn't seem to bother Elon neither.

- defrost 2y agoMusk claims to be pro free speech. He doesn't carry through. https://www.businessinsider.com/free-speech-censorship-elon-musk-throttled-tweets-turkey-presidential-election-2023-5 https://www.businessinsider.com/free-speech-censorship-elon-... https://restofworld.org/2023/twitter-blocked-access-punjab-amritpal-singh-sandhu/ https://restofworld.org/2023/twitter-blocked-access-punjab-a... Like John Clauser yelling at clouds, all hat and no cattle.
- infotainment 2y ago> "In its place, Republicans support AI Development rooted in Free Speech and Human Flourishing." This tidbit pretty much reads like Elon himself wrote it in a pitch for xAI, so I'd say Elon would 100% on board here.
- wkat4242 2y agoYeah sounds more like he's trying to dig his own moat.
