Sounds like typical bike shedding. They have severe culture problems and they are runninh down every comfortable path to address them, unsuccessfully. I was in a lunch with our CEO where he told us about all the issues he is trying to address related to generational shifts and succession. While trying to explain that we need to be attractive to generation Z and Millennials he insults them (with some in the room) with littany of stereotypes lifted straight from articles he read on the internet. Dude is clueless, and he knows it and is just trying stuff to keep the board happy until he can cash out.
