What I object to is the call for such programs under the guise of them being something other than what they are. If UBI is just welfare, why not just call it that?
- sjsdaiuasgdia 2y agoBecause it's a different approach than the welfare systems we have today. It's not the same thing. There are similar elements, but the structure is very different. The terminology difference helps reflect that they're different concepts.
