This is attempting to buy “a seat at the table.” I have a lot of negative feelings about the morality of that.
But what really stands out to me is how misguided the attempt is here. Trump only rewards absolute fealty - not campaign cash. If they really want a “seat at the table,” they’re going to have to pony up a lot more than just their money.
- janice1999 2y agoI wonder how much of his dignity "Tim Apple" is willing to sacrifice this time. It'll be interesting to see how employees of progressive, LGBT-friendly companies like Apple square their leaders sitting down with people who actively legislate against them. - basementcat 2y agoI think it is common courtesy to wish someone well after something bad happens to them, regardless of political party affiliation.
