- Rinzler89 2y agoI wonder if governments should be responsible for paying some severances or unemployment in such cases. For example when Covid lockdowns hit, businesses and employees affected by the lockdown received government aid because it's not their fault the government locked them out of their jobs. At least in my country. Similarly in such cases, when due to political tensions and trade sanctions you end up laid off because the company you work for is now on your government's shit list without your fault, would it make sense for the government to compensate you partially for loosing your job.
- stuckkeys 2y agoNot sure how that would play out for cases that were declared a national cyber threat. But I agree with your statement. Government should cover for their recovery or hell bring them on board to work for the gov. Maybe that would require some kind of unrealistic clearance but it could work.

How is it the fault of those employees that they get caught in the political crossfire and now find themselves unemployed. After all, Kaspersky ia a very large company and the workers at the US office weren't the ones responsible for the issues Kaspersky has with the US.
