- more_corn 2y ago20 years and 2-5B invested before any generation at all. At which point you should just put 5B of subsidies into rooftop solar with battery backup (it doesn’t take much to make solar a no brainer, a 50% tax credit would make it a slam dunk). Do that and you can reduce peak demand by 20% in year 1.
