- theandrewbailey 2y agoI've never stopped using Winamp. I've tried some skins from time to time, but always go back to the default. The ones where you can't tell what the equalizer is doing are really bad.
- pavel_lishin 2y agoIt seems like a lot of them treat the equalizer window as just a canvas to paint on, sometimes explicitly hiding everything there: https://skins.webamp.org/skin/c5820c4217d25e25588389dbec78859c/Neon%20Genesis%20Evangelion%20-%20My%20Misato%20Amp.wsz/ https://skins.webamp.org/skin/c5820c4217d25e25588389dbec7885...
- ggm 2y agoloved the Quad II skin. Had a Quad amp, felt connected to my digital domain. Now, after a flood wrecked the amp down in the basement all I have is the KT66 Valves, but the skin will live forever. Free the llama!
- pavon 2y agoNote these skins aren't just images, but a fully interactive and functional web version of winamp. You can even open and play files off your computer. I didn't realize that until I clicked a button by accident, although in retrospect the domain name should have been a clue.
- metadat 2y agoLol, georgeskin. https://skins.webamp.org/skin/3e0a37f5fcd0e9dedc035eeb33932545/georgeskin.zip/ https://skins.webamp.org/skin/3e0a37f5fcd0e9dedc035eeb339325... It's crazy how many there are.. I don't have time to scroll past a thousand or so.. loving this nostalgia.
- pikseladam 2y agoi loved the spotiamp but they canceled it. There is this clone of it but not like the original. https://github.com/kran27/Spotiamp https://github.com/kran27/Spotiamp
