  Noting that the skin is a barrier, wouldn't cannabinoid containing cremes and compounds applied to the skin be a better test than ingested? Hemp based skin care product has been around for ages, but thats low THC and related content so if this is about the THC and other psychoactive compounds, it might not have been an adequate test. Unless it's targetting some pathway in the system "from the inside" rather direct topical application to the affected skin and sub-skin.

    It really does depend on the targeted pathways and how the drug gets metabolized and distributed in the tissues
