PG does make a reasonable point here. Capital is much less of a barrier than in the past for starting a business. A small group of people with no outside investment can do a lot of damage.

- feedforward 2y agoAt least half of the recent YC batch is in AI, and building models is not cheap (or startup cheap any how).
- nojs 2y agoMost of them aren’t building new models from scratch though. Anything other than that is pretty cheap.
