This is not a book about bleeding edge compiler techniques. It teaches the foundations that makes it easier to learn the more complex parts of writing a compiler. Unless compiler design radically changes it will likely remain a relevant book for a very very long time. Especially since Java-adjacent languages are likely to remain in vogue and the odds of us losing C as a major language in the next few decades is basically zero.
