To be fair, CSV is a relatively complex format with all kinds of edge cases and gotchas. In a test like situation, I'm sure 80% of the people would probably fail the test if done in any language.
- dkhenry 14y agoRight which is why they are just asked to read in a given file and print out the contents slightly formatted, not make a full CSV parser. Most people can't open a file and read in the contents, forget parsing the contents just reading them in is where most people fail.
