The clam case is much sexier. But, even at $250, I can't find a compelling reason to use my phone in laptop environment. The apps just aren't there. Also, $250 gets you a fully funtional (and more powerful) Windows/Linux laptop. Spend some more and you get a machine you can write code on and game with. I wish them all the best, but this is going to tank.
