Today was a great day, if not the best day of the year! Russell 2000 is up +4% today! Today CPI and Inflation as well as Macro Economic forecasts looked SO GOOD that investors, overconfident, all bought small caps at the same time. Why? Because taking on more risks is supposed to pay more, which is what we learnt in school, and this clearly didn’t show with the data, hence our late focus on large caps. Obviously the cash didn’t come out of nowhere… they sold their large cap stocks… at the same time. Like impatient animals running into quick losses and hitting prices. Tomorrow large caps will rally, this is a free money dip, literally, free money.
