It's worth remembering when Robotaxi unveiling on 8/8 was initially announced - on April 5.
It was a very specific day - where Reuters reported that Tesla scrapped projects for a low cost car, and shares were tumbling >6% before Elon denied the story and some hours later announced the Robotaxi unveiling to stop the bleeding.
This is Enron of our times folks.
- quantified 2y agoNot sure it's Enron (or Worldcom or Tyco, those were the days, watch The Smartest Guys in the Room and for bonus points spot the Trump reference), as that was an insane accounting fraud. But it's certainly remarkable. Look for some combo of additional delay and spin that lowers expectations.
