Well the US effectively does compared to other developed countries.
Where I am in Europe, I can do my own plumbing, electricity and gas work. No permits, no need to be licensed. This doesn't affect insurance or cause any issues when I sell the house.
- viraptor 2y agoThat's not so universal and there are often still limits on any bigger wiring changes. You definitely cannot generalise the to "other developed countries".
