- disillusioned 2y agoIs there any more dissonant way to sign off this weird dystopian "AI are people, too" nightmare fuel blog post than " Sarah Lattice. Because people."?
- ksenzee 2y agoOne of the more endearing human errors is our tendency to anthropomorphize—put a name and a face on anything, even just a pair of googly eyes on a paperclip, and suddenly it’s a person (“Clippy!!”). These people, instead of thinking “How can we help people not anthropomorphize AI?” instead thought “How can we profit from people anthropomorphizing AI?” I don’t usually wish failure on people’s business ideas, but I’m making an exception in this case.

- mellosouls 2y agoYes, I originally submitted the prnewswire link then resubmitted the OP here as its the original. I have mixed feelings on it but I think its discussion-worthy. Its potentially a clever marketing move though could backfire due to ridicule. ps. I've just noticed it was originally submitted a day earlier by another poster here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=40919104 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=40919104
- etc-hosts 2y agoThey also posted it on LinkedIn. I can imagine a human incapable of being able to output the PR piece or the blog post or the tweets, so they used AI
