To be mildly belligerent, wouldn't you mean Chinese efforts? In terns of actual change, I'd argue China is outpacing the west right now.
They produce more renewable energy as a percentage of their energy economy than the US, they produce about 3x more in aggregate, and they're building capacity faster than the rest of the world combined.

- bamboozled 2y agoHow are these numbers verified, I personally hope it's all true,,,but...
- KptMarchewa 2y agoI don't see how that's tangentially connected to what I've written. Again, if China wants the renewable energy to succeed, they could ask their russian allies to stop sabotaging the efforts in the west.
- itishappy 2y agoThat's because what you've written isn't connected to the thread. Holding a country accountable for the actions and policies of a different country is a perverse metric. Does the US not care about nuclear because our German allies regulate against it? If China wants renewable energy to succeed they should produce more renewable energy. That's what they're doing.
- KptMarchewa 2y ago>Does the US not care about nuclear because our German allies regulate against it? Obviously, they should push the Germans to abandon their anti-science stance.
- itishappy 2y agoOf course. Is the US to blame if Germans don't?
