Last time I used Google Chrome, if you logged into a Google account while using Chrome, it automatically logged you into that Google account in the browser itself. Isn't that implemented in a similar way to this? I agree with the concerns about unfair competition, and I think this auto-login "feature" could also qualify as an example.
