I had a blog and newsletter where I was writing about everything from rants to dev tutorials. But my bounce rate was high. I decided to write on separate blogs instead and now I see that people are actually reading my stuff. I also receive emails from a few readers thanking me for my articles. That's why I recommend keeping your domains separate so that people can read what they're actually interested in.
