This can be bypassed by perceptually hashing B-frames and skipping those associated to ads (or using a cheap dimensionality reduction method and rejecting dissimilar frames). This can be done without even decompressing the frame. You also don't have to do it every B-frame, you can just do it every 30 seconds and then binary search for the start and end. If they do end up doing it, I'd love to write this, it would be a lot of fun.
