Ask HN: Something Different
Looking for something interesting and challenging in my next role. There have to be some startups out there doing something completely different. Not the usual "highly scalable Docker/Kubernetes/React" stack. What are some interesting companies doing something different?
- zkirill 2y agoI am re-imagining the personal computer to take on the hegemonic order of Apple, Microsoft, and Google (Android). It may be a challenge.
- supportengineer 2y agoThat's the spirit!
- badpun 2y agoI've read Q&A on your website. You didn't list a quite obvious question - who is this for? Specifically, who would want a personal computer than can't play compressed audio or video?
- nativeit 2y agoI represent the International Federation of Lossless Latter-Day Saints, and media compression is expressly against our religious traditions (everything else is very much on the table) and we are excited to see how this develops. Please consider donating towards our charitable missions, we only accept pre-fork Ethereum tokens submitted via fax.
- kody 2y agoFunny, after 6 years in startups I'm looking for something along the lines of "boring Java programmer for a bank". I'm tired of changing the world, man.
