Show HN: I built a WASM-console using WebAssembly and tinygo
- rajatjindal0083 2y agoI am the author of wasm-console. happy to answer any questions you may have.
- rgbrgb 2y agowhat is wasm-console / what is a wasmshell?
- rajatjindal0083 2y agowasm-console (formally wasmshell) is a webassembly component that can help you explore the filesystem, make network requests at the moment. The idea was born when trying to debug why my component could not access a particular file and I really wanted to be able to do "ls" on the filesystem to see what is there.
- williamstein 2y agoCool! I also built a WASM console a while ago using Zig, Clang, and slightly modifying various BSD utilities. There is a browser demo at https://cowasm.sh/ https://cowasm.sh/ , but you could also run it in a terminal and access your local files (similar to what your WASM-console does). Anyways, thanks for sharing your console.
- rajatjindal0083 2y agothat is so cool. I will try it out as well. thank you for sharing.
- skybrian 2y agoPlease don't use animated gifs to demonstrate what your project does. It's hard to read while it's moving. A shell transcript is better.
- rajatjindal0083 2y agothank you for your feedback. I will change that back to a shell transcript.
