you could say this exact same thing about the internet for many years (e.g. mid eighties to early nineties) after it's first use.
- woodruffw 2y agoComparing the two is inexact: AI has leapt directly into the commercialization phase, while the Internet wasn’t allowed to be commercialized until the 90s. And there’s an additive effect: the Internet should accelerate AI’s commercialization, if AI is as big of a business as we’ve been told.
