McDonald's Discontinued Its Salad Offerings in America – Due to Lack of Demand
- talldayo 2y agoI've had the McDonalds salad before, it's expensive and tastes like shit. It got discontinued because it was designed to fail.
- PaulHoule 2y agoIt's funny because when I am looking for real fast food in the city I go a Chopt or Sweetgreens or a Chipotle, not a McDonalds where the line takes forever.

- ohmyiv 2y agoMcDs customers mostly know what they want: _cheap_ burgers, fries, and sodas. If one wanted healthy food, they'd go elsewhere. In the area I live in, very few want a salad from McDs, they instead go to sweetgreen, tender greens, moonbowls or any # of salad specialty shops around here. If one wants a good juicy burger, they go elsewhere also. L.A. is not short on great burger and salad joints. For many people, McDs will never be equated with healthy food no matter what they try. That ship sailed a long time ago.
- m463 2y agoI remember (years ago) having a mcdonalds salad, like a salad shaker. I actually like the idea. I also remember once when mcdonalds sold pasta. It only happened for a short time and then it was gone. Probably a test.
- wkat4242 2y agoOh yeah they had the shakers here in Europe for a while. They where a total bust. Basically a salad stuffed into a drink cup. Made no sense at all. Seriously who came up with that shit.
- wkat4242 2y agoThe salads here in Spain are not bad actually. Especially the chicken honey mustard one. I'm sure it's not the healthiest option but for that one doesn't go to McDonald's anyway. But really for decent salads one goes to honest greens here.
- toomuchtodo 2y agoHad a great salad at the McDs in Porto’s CBD recently, was pleasantly surprised.
- wkat4242 2y agoIt's so different because their salads are outsourced to local vendors. Here in Spain i believe it's florette who also do supermarket salads. They're not the best but not the worst either. McDonald's just slice up a mc chicken burger and throw it on top :P
