The main problem with replacing the stock RCS app is that USIM authentication requires system privilege: https://github.com/Hirohumi/RustyRcs/issues/1 https://github.com/Hirohumi/RustyRcs/issues/1
If one's RCS hub doesn't have that as a hard requirement, there shouldn't be any technical reason preventing a third-party RCS app.
