Just need to lean into it. Onward [1]! (Global population boom over the last several decades was an artifact of lack of access to family planning and contraception access along with empowerment and agency [2]; that population was squeezed by economic systems, systems which will now need to face the consequences of humans having agency and autonomy to choose not to have children, which otherwise would’ve been extracted from as adult workers and taxpayers [3] [4] [5]) [1] https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=false&query=birth%20rate&sort=byDate&type=story https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=false&qu... A sustained TFR lower than the replacement level in many countries, including China and India, would have economic, social, environmental, and geopolitical consequences. Policy options to adapt to continued low fertility, while sustaining and enhancing female reproductive health, will be crucial in the years to come. https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)30677-2/fulltext https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6... | https://doi.org/10.1016/S0140-6736(20)30677-2 https://doi.org/10.1016/S0140-6736(20)30677-2
